This large, full-color Lewis & clark Trailposter follows the travels of Lewis & Clark from the time they leave Camp River DuBois on May 14, 1804 through the time they temporarily split up on July 3, 1806 at the top of the Yellowstone River until they meet up at the mouth of the Yellowstone River on August 12, 1806. The poster shows various dates, along with their significance, including meeting Sacagawea during their winter camp of 1804-1805 at Fort Mandan. It also makes note of their journal writings about the many types of “new” wildlife they encounter, as well as drawings of some of those animals.
