Getting Ready to Read Resource Book
Grades: PreK-1
40 Independent Phonemic Awareness Centers
Directly addresses the phonological needs of emergent readers, ELLs, and other students who have limited exposure to oral language. This resource will help students learn how to analyze and apply the five levels of phonemic awareness (rhythm & rhyme, parts of a word, sequence of sounds, separation of sounds, and manipulation of sounds) in isolation before applying the levels to written language. Each easy-to-prepare activity is presented pictorially for students and in written form.
Common Core standards covered:
RF.K.2a-2e, RF.1.2a-2d
