This resource allows you to share excellent children's literature with your students while improving their reading skills and extending the use of books into the content areas. There are 10 units, each devoted to one picture book, including:

• Old Cricket
• The Recess Queen
• Chicken Soup by Heart
• Violet's Musis, and others.

Each of the ten units includes an introduction to the book and script, an author interview, the reader's theater script based on the book, and a set of standards-based reproducible learning activities with accompanying standards.

Scripts are 2 - 6 pages with 6 - 12 parts.
